Ashley was born on January 24, 1993 in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York. Her father is famous radio personality, Howard Stern, while her mother is Alison Berns, Howard’s college sweetheart. They met at Boston University through a mutual friend. The couple gave birth to Ashley, their third child after 15 years of marriage.

Alison and Howard have done several projects together including negligees and underwear, open wounds and private parts of the United States. For what it’s worth, things were going well for the family and the relationship didn’t seem like it was going to end. Either way, they had to go through tough times, like any other couple.
Still, after twenty-three years of sweet romance, trouble hit their paradise and they decided to let it go. In the events leading up to their separation, Howard began to rise to fame with his show The Howard Stern Show which was syndicated to other markets across the country, making Howard a very popular person. Howard even admitted it himself, saying he was totally neurotic and exhausted from the work he placed in front of his family and friends. It was therefore not surprising that in October 1999, the couple separated due to Stern’s obsession with his work. Eventually, they ended their 23-year marriage in 2001 with an out-of-court divorce and settlement.
While their daughters, Emily and Deborah were old enough to understand the circumstances at the time of the divorce, it wasn’t so easy for little Ashley who was six at the time. Ashley Jade Stern was too young when her parents decided to divorce and it was probably the most difficult situation of her life.
Although Howard and Alison share joint custody, Howard said he would gladly take custody of his children if asked. Both have moved on in their lives and Alison is married to David Simon while Howard has been married to actress-model Beth Ostrosky since 2008.
