During his career in MLB to his retirement, Damon played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians.
Damon played high school baseball at Walker Jr. High School, before continuing his game at Dr. Philips High School in Orlando. In 1992 when he was in his senior year, his performances earned him the top high school prospect in the country by Baseball America, was named to USA Today’s High School All-America team and was the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year.
While attending Dr. Philips High School, Damon ran track where he was a runner up in the 200m dash in his senior year. He also played football in high school, suffering his first ever concussion after he was hit by Warren Sapp.
